Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kᴇᴛᴇɴçᴀʏɪʀ's goalkeeper Onur-Recep Kıvrak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Benedykt Lanczak made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Onur-Recep Kıvrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute.
