Szymon Naskrent showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 17th minute, Wojciech Domala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wasyl Dombroski got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Szymon Naskrent kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Pogoń Szczecin's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lucjan Domeradzki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 35th match minute, Pogoń Szczecin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wojciech Domala to maneuver through the defense. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Szymon Naskrent got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. In the 55th match minute, Pogoń Szczecin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wasyl Dombroski to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Jose Correa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Marian Kajfasz made a huge save. In the 65th minute Ryszard Bykowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Szymon Naskrent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szymon Naskrent in the 74th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Marian Kajfasz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Pogoń Szczecin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marian Kajfasz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 80 minutes, Lucjan Domeradzki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pogoń Szczecin and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Domeradzki. Ryszard Bykowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pogoń Szczecin's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
