The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Everardo Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After 8 minutes of play, USA's Cassius Byrne made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pepe Toxeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the match, Real Club Celta de Vigo's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Pepe Toxeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jenson Smith in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Real Club Celta de Vigo's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Pepe Toxeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Valcarcel hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Pepe Toxeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jenson Smith, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 23rd minute of play. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Pepe Toxeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Real Club Celta de Vigo got a freekick which was hit by Renato Tapia. In the 32nd minute, Cassius Byrne made a precise shot to the right of Pepe Toxeiro. Real Club Celta de Vigo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Pepe Toxeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Monty Rogers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Koby Fletcher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. USA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Club Celta de Vigo the free kick. Koby Fletcher hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. In the 49th minute Guillermo Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Tapia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pepe Toxeiro was a little too slow when Cassius Byrne got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-3. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Renato Tapia made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepe Toxeiro having to interfere. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Edward Mcdonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Pepe Toxeiro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 80th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 83rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, Oscar Valcarcel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Day came out of the goal and Oscar Valcarcel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Campbell in the 94th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sam Campbell in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pepe Toxeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. USA played a much better game than Real Club Celta de Vigo and deserved their victory. The Real Club Celta de Vigo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
