The corner led Club Atletico Chusca's Lauro Moreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Thiago Pliego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Lauro Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Lauro Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. In the 67th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Serafin Eate. Club Atletico Chusca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Club Atletico Chusca's Alberto Confesor was substituted for Herman Arvidsson. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Gumaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Alberto Confesor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Mariano Lacasa put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Serafin Eate. After having played for 81 minutes, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Casaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Club Atletico Chusca defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Eate. The Club Atletico Chusca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Eate should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute of the game Pedro Indiano made a throw-in which Guillermo Fontirroig played forward. In the 94th minute, Orlando Casaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Lauro Moreira suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 96 minutes into the game, Alan Tamayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Chusca the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chile fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! Chile played a much better game than Club Atletico Chusca and deserved their victory. The Club Atletico Chusca players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
