Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play forced Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Burgas's goalie prevented a goal. Vintilă Ghițulescu struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Burgas. In the 8th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sporting Burgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mac Aron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cedro Pantoja in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Álvaro Perpiñán was left in no man's land by his defense there! Álvaro Perpiñán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Álvaro Perpiñán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Burgas's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Perpiñán came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Álvaro Perpiñán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 37th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Álvaro Perpiñán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Álvaro Perpiñán came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davor Šuker was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Álvaro Perpiñán made a huge save. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Davor Šuker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Burgas's supporters rose to their feet, but Davor Šuker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sporting Burgas's Antonio Fioriti was substituted for Vintilă Ghițulescu. Álvaro Perpiñán made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Fioriti came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sporting Burgas getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cedro Pantoja hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Álvaro Perpiñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 92nd minute of play forced Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Burgas.
