After a rather tough play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Everardo Arias got a free kick in the 15th minute. Thanks to Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Axel Montenegro tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Pepe Toxeiro seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. After a beautiful solo achivement in the 17th minute, Axel Montenegro easily set the score to 2-1 through a well directed shot that entered the goal by the right post. 19 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Tapia came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Real Club Celta de Vigo booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santino Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Marin in the 27th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Kevin Mastache took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pepe Toxeiro. Pepe Toxeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Renato Tapia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Tapia, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Guillermo Marin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Club Celta de Vigo's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Marin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pepe Toxeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
