In the 18th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes in the game Raphael Moore did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jacob May. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 31st minute of play forced ITAFUT 4EVER's goalkeeper Nilson Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, ITAFUT 4EVER's José Sand ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marco Day. Marco Day yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Nilson Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 50th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monty Rogers to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the game, José Sand cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ITAFUT 4EVER's Jardel Baggio was substituted for José Sand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Baggio in the 67th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Porto in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Monty Rogers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilson Peres was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Jardel Baggio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. USA's Marco Baker got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. USA were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ITAFUT 4EVER to leave the ground with a draw.
