Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bengt-Rune Widberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Fohat Neyen's Clemente Tome got a free kick in the 5th minute. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Iraido Bertiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iruinea Llordes, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iruinea Llordes in the 16th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Schnell in the 18th minute of play. Iraido Bertiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iraido Bertiz having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt-Rune Widberg got free with Dante Lacasa in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iraido Bertiz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 39 minutes of play, Fohat Neyen's Iruinea Llordes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iraido Bertiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Rune Widberg. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Iruinea Llordes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iraido Bertiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute. Iraido Bertiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 59th minute of play. Iraido Bertiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Joel Gaona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iraido Bertiz came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Gaona slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iraido Bertiz came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Iraido Bertiz threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Widberg in the 74th minute of play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Denis Schnell notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iruinea Llordes in the 91st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Denis Schnell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fohat Neyen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Schnell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felix Luque's late challenge caught a Fohat Neyen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Luque helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
