Fohat Neyen's Iraido Bertiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Fohat Neyen from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iruinea Llordes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 29th minute of play forced Fohat Neyen's goalkeeper Iraido Bertiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Fohat Neyen's goalkeeper Iraido Bertiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Fohat Neyen's Iraido Bertiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 32nd minute of play. Orlando Casaus might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iraido Bertiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Casaus ran back to his position shaking his head. Iraido Bertiz made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Bengt-Rune Widberg took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A hard shot 40 in the game by Mariano Lacasa from a close distance when the talented Iraido Bertiz managed to make a qualified save. Fohat Neyen's players were relieved. After 43 minutes, Orlando Casaus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Fohat Neyen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Orlando Casaus kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt-Rune Widberg to make the kick off. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Iraido Bertiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iraido Bertiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iraido Bertiz came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Chile's Mariano Lacasa in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fohat Neyen's goalie prevented a goal. Orlando Casaus hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iraido Bertiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Iruinea Llordes's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iruinea Llordes helped the player get up and apologised. 70 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Iruinea Llordes came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iraido Bertiz was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fohat Neyen's goalkeeper Iraido Bertiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fohat Neyen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Xavier Figueroa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Iraido Bertiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
