A long shot from Leoncio Serra in the 3rd minute of play was well struck, but Jonathan Ferrant made a really good save at the right post. Nestor Paio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Albi Campoamor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Chayo Ramis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. If Lucila Beloki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leoncio Serra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucila Beloki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucila Beloki got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Leoncio Serra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leoncio Serra really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leoncio Serra got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucila Beloki's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Lucila Beloki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albi Campoamor having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Nestor Paio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Futbolin and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Futbolin's Nestor Paio got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Chus Galnares kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Chayo Ramis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Chayo Ramis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Chayo Ramis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chayo Ramis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 78 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albi Campoamor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Futbolin's Albi Campoamor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of play. Leoncio Serra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Futbolin fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Futbolin's Lucila Beloki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 94th minute, Chayo Ramis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Futbolin fully deserved thier win.
