An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Gurutz in the 15th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Trinidad 4.7's Alejo Gurutz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Derksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Trinidad 4.7 getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Omar Txaran hit a great ball. The supporters of Trinidad 4.7 booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trinidad 4.7's Danilo Heli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes Trinidad 4.7's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Danilo Heli quite easily take care of the ball. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Heli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Olof Derksen made the kick off in the second half. When Trinidad 4.7's Alejo Gurutz in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danilo Heli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Danilo Heli made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olof Derksen in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Heli having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Trinidad 4.7 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Silvanito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelino Silvanito hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Trinidad 4.7's zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Heli came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Trinidad 4.7 getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Marcelino Silvanito hit a great ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Trinidad 4.7 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Silvanito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Trinidad 4.7's Marcelino Silvanito got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Trinidad 4.7 booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
