Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sebastián Junes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute. After 9 minutes of play, Celtic FC's Isidoro Lugo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicolas Froila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastián Junes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastián Junes having to interfere. If Oscar Udalaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Udalaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Guillermo Mariano charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mariano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Lugo in the 24th minute of play. Isidoro Lugo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Froila took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 34th minute, Isidoro Lugo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celtic FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Lugo in the 37th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Nicolas Froila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Lugo in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Isidoro Lugo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celtic FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidoro Lugo to make the kick off. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Lugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 尤枫斌 kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Celtic FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Froila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Celtic FC's Nicolas Froila. But to his dismay, Nicolas Froila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Lugo's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 90 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Celtic FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Celtic FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
