When Abram Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abram Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 5th minute of play forced Szittyák SE rege's goalkeeper Péter Temesvári to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Pascual Carballar made a precise shot to the right of Péter Temesvári. Szittyák SE rege's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miklós Sebestyén during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Colombia booed when Szittyák SE rege was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miklós Sebestyén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Róbert Szegedi hit a great ball. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. In the 76th minute, Pascual Carballar made a precise shot to the right of Péter Temesvári. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kornél Udvarhelyi in the 91st minute of play. Kornél Udvarhelyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Colombia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
