Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 9 minutes, Kamel Messina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC CORK CITY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kamel Messina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Cristi Cicortaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Cristi Cicortaș took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Tencho Ralinov's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tencho Ralinov helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC CORK CITY's Tencho Ralinov got a free kick in the 21st minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panayot Momchilov was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Cristi Cicortaș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Cicortaș in the 32nd minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamel Messina in the 35th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Medero Arraz in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Medero Arraz came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panayot Momchilov was slow to take the kick. During this time FC CORK CITY's players had a chance to rest. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Cristi Cicortaș's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, FC CORK CITY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Silyanovski to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Joshua Secada got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute Cristi Cicortaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panayot Momchilov, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. FC CORK CITY's Kamel Messina got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC CORK CITY's goalie and right to Joshua Secada. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC CORK CITY's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 71 minutes into the game, Cristi Cicortaș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Cicortaș came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Cicortaș in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Siim Übi. The goal made the score 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Cicortaș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Correa was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC CORK CITY's Panayot Momchilov tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to FC CORK CITY getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Tencho Ralinov hit a great ball.
