Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind TEMPLE F.C.'s goalkeeper Rodolfo Ricart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Russell Romero in the 14 minute of the game. Karl-Magnus Rolandsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Ricart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Ricart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodolfo Ricart was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Rodolfo Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 48th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Ricart prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The TEMPLE F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Ricart was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Julian Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodolfo Ricart having to make a save. In the 65th minute of the match Peru got a corner. TEMPLE F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
