In the 10th minute, Tomas Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes, SV Wissenkerke's Oscar Hilbrands shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SV Wissenkerke reached it. In the 15th minute, Abraham Alguacil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frits van Loo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Frits van Loo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Gertjan Baars shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylvan Baggio in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 31st minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Frits van Loo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SV Wissenkerke booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Bombarda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Cotilla. Panama's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SV Wissenkerke were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Panama's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Bombarda took the corner. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Casper Tinselboer put in a rough tackle. Casper Tinselboer hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gertjan Baars in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

56 minutes into the match, Sylvan Baggio notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute, Abraham Alguacil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frits van Loo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After some careless play in the SV Wissenkerke defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frits van Loo. The SV Wissenkerke fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frits van Loo should have stopped the shot. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Gerjan Staarman scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 3-2. Sjors Breugel kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Miguel Miralles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits van Loo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Miralles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes SV Wissenkerke got a freekick which was hit by Sylvan Baggio. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Panama fully deserved thier win.
