In the 8th minute, Ulysses Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Augusto do Vale came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Espiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Augusto do Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmundo Espiga ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC's Pedro Augusto do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Edmundo Espiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Pedro Augusto do Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Esteban Carvallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto do Vale having to interfere. In the 39th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Augusto do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Augusto do Vale. Sebastian Villa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Pedro Augusto do Vale made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.
