In the 26th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Tököli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 26th minute of play forced Rapsodas Red Devils FC's goalkeeper Ferenc Tököli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jorrin Briones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ferenc Tököli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Leonardo Colmenares got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Ferenc Tököli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 50th minute of play. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ferenc Tököli made a huge save. Ferenc Tököli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Rogers went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Rapsodas Red Devils FC made a substitution. Herminio Miera replaced Eskil Julin. Ferenc Tököli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Ferenc Tököli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 67th minute of play. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the USA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
