Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cassius Byrne started the match with the kick off. A collision led to S.C. Corinthians Paulista getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Júnior Baiano hit a great ball. USA's Cassius Byrne got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Mcdonald got free with Fırat Aytekin in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Fırat Aytekin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Mcdonald. In the 15th match minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Baiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fırat Aytekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute Johannes Kruuse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match, Cassius Byrne got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fırat Aytekin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Kruuse in the 28th minute of play. S.C. Corinthians Paulista were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro da Silveira took the corner. The corner led S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Ciro da Silveira to fire away a dangerous shot which Marco Day despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Edward Mcdonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fırat Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Johannes Kruuse made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johannes Kruuse to make the kick off. If Johannes Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Kruuse, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 56th minute of play. S.C. Fırat Aytekin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Evandro Trancoso was substituted for Johannes Kruuse. 74 minutes into the game, one of USA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. USA:s Marco Day showed great skill when he stopped Evandro Trancoso:s penalty. Evandro Trancoso did an outstanding performance 77 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Marco Day in the goal. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. 83 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zuberoa Ezquerra. If Sam Campbell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Zuberoa Ezquerra took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Marco Day to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the S.C. Corinthians Paulista defense, Sam Campbell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fırat Aytekin. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fırat Aytekin should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Marco Day successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zuberoa Ezquerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marco Day came out and tried to block the shot, but Zuberoa Ezquerra slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 95th minute. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Fırat Aytekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Baker in the 98th minute of play. Although USA had been in control for most of the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista still came away with the win.
