In the 5th match minute, Nuevo Horizonte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Lucero to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Nuevo Horizonte's Guido Lucero got a free kick in the 13th minute. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Lapurdi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niceto Virila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Tasis charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Tasis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Baldomero Lapurdi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baldomero Lapurdi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.

In the 50th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 51st minute, Baldomero Lapurdi made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nuevo Horizonte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. Axel Tasis made a great header on Costa Rica's corner, it was just that Nuevo Horizonte's Niceto Virila managed to reach the ball for a save. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niceto Virila having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niceto Virila was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Aztore in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baldomero Lapurdi went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 81st minute, Feliberto Ramirez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Katia in the 84th minute of play. If Paulino Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Katia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nuevo Horizonte's Baldomero Lapurdi got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Nuevo Horizonte players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
