Pueblo FC's Boyd Winkler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 3rd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Boyd Winkler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vern Wright's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Pueblo FC's Ari Willingham got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Pueblo FC got a freekick which was hit by Jackson Valle. Boyd Winkler made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 17th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Boyd Winkler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Gerry Franco came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Pueblo FC got a freekick which was hit by Russell Hare. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 55th minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Gerry Franco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pueblo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. A collision led to Pueblo FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gerry Franco hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 58th minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Pozo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Boyd Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 62nd minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Boyd Winkler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boyd Winkler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 84th minute of play forced Pueblo FC's goalkeeper Boyd Winkler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boyd Winkler. Boyd Winkler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Boyd Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 89th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Chile were victorious despite being under pressure from Pueblo FC for much of the match.
