In the 11th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Brander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilhelm Brander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Dalgren got free with Julio Vera in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vilhelm Brander was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

A collision led to Kronan getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bror Lundqvist hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Vilhelm Brander. Kronan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Kronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Vallin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Nils Mikaelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Kronan's goalkeeper Vilhelm Brander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Primitivo Andino made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Bror Lundqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Vilhelm Brander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Bror Lundqvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Kronan's corner Bror Lundqvist fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Kronan and deserved their victory. The Kronan players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
