The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Eraldo Cannone made a huge save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Luponero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Kon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
