After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radomir Gazenov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doncho Tzvetkov in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Sarmiento during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
