In the 71st minute of the match Axel Tasis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şaban Okdağ skillfully saved the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Hamza Okuyan. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipp Topnikov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
