Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigel Tilea. Gigel Tilea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigel Tilea saved Academia Rio from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigel Tilea was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Gigel Tilea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigel Tilea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 66 minutes Academia Rio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gigel Tilea in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lautaro Mancebo in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gigel Tilea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Gigel Tilea in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Coșeriu came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea got control of the ball when Joel Gaona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Despite this Gigel Tilea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 91st minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gigel Tilea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
