Izydor Kaider's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Izydor Kaider helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes, Peru's Luz Tejedor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Artur Brack came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Peru reached it. Peru's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
