Teofilo Maidana scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Armando Basajaun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Teofilo Maidana got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s goalkeeper Armando Basajaun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luz Tejedor. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Basajaun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes into the match, Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Teofilo Maidana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cartero de Agronomia F.C. were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vinicio Zaki took the corner. The corner ended in Vinicio Zaki almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play forced Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s goalkeeper Armando Basajaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Maidana in the 47th minute of play.

Armando Basajaun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Maidana came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Armando Basajaun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 59th minute of play. Armando Basajaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute of the match. Armando Basajaun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cartero de Agronomia F.C. made a substitution. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Du Hong Hui in the 92 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Rafael Gallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Gallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Basajaun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Peru lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
