In the 19th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes, Louis Leißner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alemannia Aachen and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Alemannia Aachen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Leißner to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Mateusz Rydel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alemannia Aachen's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateusz Rydel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luca Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jess Carnduff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 33rd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. La Rat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling La Rat in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of La Rat's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Jess Carnduff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jess Carnduff made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. After 68 minutes Alemannia Aachen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mateusz Rydel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by La Rat in the 76th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from La Rat in the 78th minute of play. Thomas Müller took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Alemannia Aachen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Alemannia Aachen's Frans Baltzer managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 95 minute of the game.
