Nikos Nentopoulos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benito Sanz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nikos Nentopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikos Nentopoulos in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Nentopoulos got free with Benito Sanz in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Punk Fathers booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Punk Fathers's Nikos Nentopoulos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 27th minute, Nikiforos Frantzeskos made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Punk Fathers's Nikos Nentopoulos in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikos Nentopoulos made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Nikos Nentopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marinos Koskotas, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Charis Giasemis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Punk Fathers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Nikos Nentopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikiforos Frantzeskos in the 92nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
