Julian Murillo scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erik Grøneng, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wang Fei Xing showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Erik Grøneng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Wang Fei Xing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raymond Engevik to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Erik Grøneng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erik Grøneng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Erik Grøneng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 64th minute of play forced Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Erik Grøneng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Grøneng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kjønstad BF made a substitution. Eskil Tande replaced Yngvar Roth. Kjønstad BF's Theodor Fjermestad was substituted for Rene Egoitz. Kjønstad BF's Raymond Engevik got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. The throw-in from Joey Célestin in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 85 minutes into the match, Damian Dino notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Peru booed when Kjønstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Célestin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milagros Fraga came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erik Grøneng could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Tenorio in the 94th minute of play forced Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Erik Grøneng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
