If Albérico Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albérico Neto in the 16th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Aguinhas's Paulo Renato Fernandez got a free kick in the 21st minute. Aguinhas's Albérico Neto managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Macos Graciani in the 25 minute of the game. Macos Graciani made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Joel Gaona immediately put the ball in play. 29 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Albérico Neto came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albérico Neto made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. Walmyr Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmyr Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Aguinhas's Gilson Quadros was substituted for Albérico Neto. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazarópi Orange in the 68th minute of the match. Aguinhas's Walmyr Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Aguinhas from getting a goal against them. Tadeo Txerran kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walmyr Queirós saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 80 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Walmyr Queirós was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aguinhas's Walmyr Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Aguinhas from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Gilson Quadros notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
