The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of UFC Puturoasa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. UFC Puturoasa's Anton Grimalschi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Ronaldo in the 27th minute of the match. In the 30thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UFC Puturoasa's Anton Grimalschi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's attack was well implemented in the 30th minute, but when Daniel Zorita was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Anton Grimalschi came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After 41 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anton Grimalschi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Grimalschi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Anton Grimalschi to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Ecuador booed when UFC Puturoasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Ronaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Anton Grimalschi to make any attempt to save it. 91 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anton Grimalschi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anton Grimalschi. 0-11. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
