Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Kjønstad BF's goalkeeper Erik Grøneng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Erik Grøneng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Kjønstad BF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. The wind increased when Raymond Engevik made the kick off in the second half. Anthony Alvarado's late challenge caught a Kjønstad BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Alvarado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Peru's Anthony Alvarado got a free kick in the 50th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmílson Prata during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Peru booed when Kjønstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball.
