Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan saved Carlisle United from getting behind. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 洪振义 in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Carlisle United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Carlisle United's Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlisle United's 洪振义 got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play forced Carlisle United's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carlisle United's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, 洪振义 fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Winfield in the 42nd minute. Carlisle United were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 洪振义 took the corner. The corner led Carlisle United's 洪振义 to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Carlisle United's 张学友 楚城 made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 53rd minute 张学友 楚城 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 58 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan managed to make a qualified save. Carlisle United's players were relieved. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 洪振义, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 66 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luis Andino. A collision led to Carlisle United getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Thomas Jan hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a huge save. Camilo Gisbert made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Carlisle United's 张学友 楚城. Luis Andino made in the 82nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Sancho however managed to control. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a huge save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 92 minutes into the match, Carlisle United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Carlisle United's Ricardinho Piazza got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Sol Leyburn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere.
