Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrea Napoleone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. Flávio de Azevedo came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flávio de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flávio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 39th minute of the match. Tiaguinho Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiaguinho Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Landulfos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Landulfos FC made a substitution. Naldo da Silveira replaced Tiaguinho Alagoano. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedrão Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Landulfos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Zorita getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 59th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Flávio de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Landulfos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Flávio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Landulfos FC's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio de Azevedo came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Pereira came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flávio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 81st minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Flávio de Azevedo could save by the left post. Flávio de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 84th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Flávio de Azevedo, 1-3. In the 87th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Flávio de Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Landulfos FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Emílio Maciel hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Flávio de Azevedo however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Alberto Tafalla took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Flávio de Azevedo to make any attempt to save it. When Facundo Cadaval fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Facundo Cadaval a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 99th minute. Penalty! In the 101st minute there was a penalty for Landulfos FC. Pedrão Pereira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dante Lacasa. 2-4. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
