In the 13th minute Norberto Tipi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Gozdowski during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Candar SK's Roman Gozdowski got a free kick in the 13th minute. Abdurrahim Kutlualp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Orhan Yaren sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, Orhan Yaren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-0. Orhan Yaren had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orhan Yaren to make the kick off. A collision led to Candar SK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ahmet Kutsi Irgatbaşı hit a great ball. Abdurrahim Kutlualp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Candar SK's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Abdurrahim Kutlualp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abdurrahim Kutlualp. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Tipi in the 66th minute of play. Candar SK were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Çağan Fazilet took the corner. In the 71st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Candar SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Kutsi Irgatbaşı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdurrahim Kutlualp made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Orhan Yaren might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orhan Yaren ran back to his position shaking his head. Abdurrahim Kutlualp made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, in the 94th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Roman Gozdowski kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
