Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Corleone in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Corleone came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Armando Salemme when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Armando Salemme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Salemme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Adriano Corleone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriano Corleone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Savicevic Show's Armando Salemme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 42nd minute of play.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Savicevic Show's Eugenio Di Rado got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Armando Salemme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After 62 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Leoz. The supporters of Mexico booed when Savicevic Show was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Giacchetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Moriggi in the 68th minute of play. Dante Lacasa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 78th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2.
