After 48 minutes of play, Mount Oliver AFC's Yazid Assad made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Mount Oliver AFC's Yépez Ilarraz got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes Mount Oliver AFC got a freekick which was hit by Yépez Ilarraz. Julian Murillo came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ruperto Iraunkor could save by the left post. 68 minutes into the match, Peru's Milagros Fraga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruperto Iraunkor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Mount Oliver AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Mount Oliver AFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
