Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes of play, Carlisle United's Thomas Winfield made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sol Leyburn's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sol Leyburn helped the player get up and apologised. Sol Leyburn kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, 洪振义 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 洪振义 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan to make any attempt to save it. 张学友 楚城 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 洪振义 in the 27th minute of play. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute 洪振义 suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes, Carlisle United's 张学友 楚城 shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carlisle United reached it. 41 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Winfield came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a huge save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Winfield stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Carlisle United getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Russ Blain hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Carlisle United's Andy Campbell. But to his dismay, Andy Campbell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 张学友 楚城, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Winfield took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Carlisle United made a substitution. Trev Clarkson replaced Andreas Forsberg. Trev Clarkson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Mark Mager lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carlisle United! The referee gave Venezuela a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomas Illescas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carlisle United's Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan. 2-4. After 79 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. 89 minutes in the game Alex Chicote did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Patricio Costa. In the 90th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 92nd minute of play forced Carlisle United's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carlisle United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
