Richard Mccarthy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Svanberg having to interfere. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Alkvist in the 86th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Dixon got free with Alex Svanberg in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alex Svanberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Prince Anderson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 98 minute of play. Canada's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
