Aron Vikström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Aron Vikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 40th minute of the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Norberg in the 41st minute of play. Kenny Ekeberg charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenny Ekeberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kenny Ekeberg hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Classon made a kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karlsborg's goalkeeper Aron Vikström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Gert Lund with Kenny Ekeberg as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Sebastian Villa took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Aron Vikström to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Karlsborg's Billy Hydén got a free kick in the 66th minute. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Billy Hydén hit a great ball. Edmundo Espiga's shot from long distance in the 69th minute was not bad at all, but Karlsborg's Aron Vikström knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 71 minutes into the match, Karlsborg's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Aron Vikström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
