Andrey Dvoryankin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of the match. If Paolo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Rossi got free with Dante Lacasa in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Leonardo Leoz got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Aris Potamiotis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 39 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrey Dvoryankin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Arsenal F.C.'s Artem Savin got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniil Fomin to make the kick off. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 minutes of play, Arsenal F.C.'s Daniil Fomin made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Arsenal F.C.'s Andrey Dvoryankin got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrey Dvoryankin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislav Sharapov in the 75th minute of play. With his leg Andrey Dvoryankin managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 83 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrey Dvoryankin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute Daniil Fomin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Andrey Dvoryankin. Arsenal F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The Arsenal F.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
