The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ronny Engström in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Ronny Engström made a huge save. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because ATLETAS FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
