Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlindo Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualter Sergipano's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualter Sergipano helped the player get up and apologised. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Landulfos FC's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Dante came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Dante. Rui Dante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Jaime Cazalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Cazalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Dante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernandão Branco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 51st minute. Rui Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Francisco Seco put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rui Dante. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rui Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Rafael Oliveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Franco couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Landulfos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Dante saved Landulfos FC from getting behind. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Dante. Rui Dante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Uruguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
