Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abram Sarmiento. Cuatrodeocho's Horea Băieșu got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joshua Garrido made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cuatrodeocho's Belarmino Campos. David Batuhin might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Batuhin ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Batuhin in the 22nd minute of play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Entrena in the 22nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Batuhin in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. In the 25th minute Cuatrodeocho were awarded a corner. Sid Wilson went to the cornerflag to take it. Cuatrodeocho's Sid Wilson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 29 minutes of play, Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cuatrodeocho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Axel Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Fulgencio Villalcazar, making the score, 2-2. With a little luck, Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Batuhin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Horea Băieșu sent off a good shot on target. In the 52nd minute Cuatrodeocho were awarded a corner.
