Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Axel Nyman having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Axel Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Baltazar in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Söderbröder's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Söderbröder's Karl-Axel Nyman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. After some careless play in the Söderbröder defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Axel Nyman. The Söderbröder fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Axel Nyman should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Söderbröder's Karl-Axel Nyman. Karl-Axel Nyman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Axel Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Söderbröder's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Karl-Axel Nyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Qu Liang kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Karl-Axel Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Matheus Baltazar made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Qu Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Karl-Axel Nyman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 58 minutes into the match, Söderbröder's goalkeeper Karl-Axel Nyman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 63rd minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Karl-Axel Nyman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Ecuador played a much better game than Söderbröder and deserved their victory. The Söderbröder players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
