Oscar Haraldsson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Björling having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 28th minute.
