The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rikard Nyqvist's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 13 minutes, Knut Collin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bondeträsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Knut Collin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Alfons Stål who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Bondeträsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Grep didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Bondeträsk FC's Anton Grep got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Alfons Stål who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Bondeträsk FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Björling made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Anton Grep threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 60 played minutes Bondeträsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Lars Stenström. After 61 played minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leo Björling came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Leo Björling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Sven-Erik Mattsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bondeträsk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Sven-Erik Mattsson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Knut Collin sent off a good shot on target. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Camilo Gaos charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gaos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bondeträsk FC's goalie prevented a goal. Sven-Erik Mattsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
