The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when David Batuhin came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Villalcazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute. Fulgencio Villalcazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 minutes of play, Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Villalcazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when David Batuhin came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cuatrodeocho's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sid Wilson in the 35th minute. The corner led Cuatrodeocho's Sid Wilson to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After the first half Cuatrodeocho were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

David Batuhin kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cuatrodeocho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Nail Horan's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nail Horan helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cuatrodeocho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Horea Băieșu in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rolando Noboa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cuatrodeocho made a substitution. Marco-Antonio Landa replaced Javier Maroto. Cuatrodeocho's Felipe Dimas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonso Berganza in the 68 minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Villalcazar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Cuatrodeocho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Peru were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Cuatrodeocho's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fulgencio Villalcazar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 77 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Villalcazar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iván Villafane struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuatrodeocho. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when David Batuhin scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Noboa, making the score, 1-2. If Andy Entrena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Batuhin in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. In the 95thth minute of the game David Batuhin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chants of Cuatrodeocho echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Peru had held the ball for most of the match.
